Windracers was conceived to provide essential logistical support to humanitarian agencies looking to sustain communities through emergencies where transportation links are poor. Our solution was designed to provide a robust, cost-effective alternative to expensive, crewed aviation for reaching local and remote villages quickly and effectively.
Our essential logistics platform and solution has emerged at the forefront of uncrewed, autonomous aviation and its application and utility is relevant to a wide range of sectors and situations.

Our Name and Logo
Windracers is a Norse Kenning (or figure of speech) for horses. Sleipnir was the legendary eight-legged horse ridden by Odin – considered the best of all horses.

Simon Muderack
Chief Executive Officer
Simon has been involved with the Windracers Group since 2020, initially as CEO of the auto-pilot business, Distributed Avionics, before taking over as Group CEO in early 2023. Previously, Simon spent 9 years in professional services at Accenture working and living globally in the technology practice before founding and acting as CEO of a Technology company based in the UK, called Tribold in 2004. Simon raised VC finance from 3 major VCs (Eden Ventures, DFJ Esprit and Intel Capital) and successfully exited the business to Sigma Systems of Canada in 2013 after having developed the business into over 20 countries globally. Simon then drove growth at Sigma Systems enabling a Private Equity takeover by Birch Hill Equity Partners of Canada in 2015 before selling the Sigma Systems business in 2019 to Hansen Technologies where he became CEO of the Hansen Communications division running the business across 90 countries. Simon also currently sits as Executive Chairman of the Scarlets rugby club based in Wales.
Martin Harrison
Chief Financial Officer
Martin has extensive international financial experience most recently as CFO of the Hibu Group (formerly Yell) leading the successful sale ($370m) of the US business on behalf of the Group's PE owners. Prior to that Martin worked across a number of blue-chip international businesses including Inmarsat, Colt and ICI both in the UK and North America. Martin trained as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in London and is also a Corporate Treasurer.
Mark Davies
Chief Operations Officer
An Engineering graduate with a 25-year track record of success in the European Motor Industry, heading up Honda UK Car and Motorcycle Business Units, before leading the consolidation of the EMEAR Motorcycle operations into one European structure as General Manager European Motorcycle Business. Led the turnaround of Scarlets Rugby as CEO, and instrumental in moving the Pro12 league to Independent Governance as a Board member, enabling the drive for South Africa expansion and Private Equity investment.
Rob Datson
Chief Flight Operations Officer
Rob joined Windracers in early 2023. Previously he was Director of Operations at logistics tech start-up Gophr leading their nationwide expansion. He has a 30-year career in aviation including flying as a training captain for Virgin Atlantic and as a fighter pilot in the RAF. Rob has a BSc(Hons) in Banking and International Finance and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
